Seth Curry to the Warriors? The Possibility Is More Real Than Ever

For years, NBA fans have dreamed about seeing Seth Curry suit up alongside his brother, Stephen Curry, in Golden State. Now, that dream might be on the verge of becoming reality.

Speaking with Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area, Seth shared his thoughts on the Warriors:

“They play a great style of basketball,” he said. “I’ve felt connected to Dub Nation for a long time—watching Steph, being around the team. Like any franchise, they could always use more shooting. But right now, I’m just focused on finding the best situation for me.”

At 34, Seth remains one of the most accurate shooters in the NBA. Last season, he led the league in three-point shooting, hitting an impressive 45.6% from beyond the arc. Over his career, he’s maintained a 43.3% average, making him the second-best active shooter in terms of percentage.

“Of course, Steph would love to have me join him,” Seth added. “And the fans have always shown me love. Our family would be all for it. I’ve always admired how the Warriors play and the system they run. You never know what the future holds.”

Even his father-in-law, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers, gave his stamp of approval on the idea.

“I think Golden State would actually be the perfect landing spot for him,” Rivers said last month on The Bill Simmons Podcast.

Despite Stephen Curry’s efforts, the Warriors finished just 16th in the league in three-point shooting last season, at 36.4%. Adding Seth on a veteran minimum contract—about $3.6 million—could provide them with another dangerous threat from deep.

“For me, it’s all about basketball,” Seth said. “I need to be in a system where my skills fit. If a team needs what I bring to the table, if my strengths align with their playing style, then it’s a match. It always starts with basketball fit.”
